UPDATE 7:55 a.m.: Drivers are reporting snow packed and icy roads throughout the county. Snow has stopped, but temperatures are very cold and patchy fog exists in some areas of the county. All 20 routes are being plowed and sanded; grader division is also working their zones. Please know we are receiving reports that eastbound Highway 34 and WCR 49 is currently closed due to an accident investigation. Slow down

Influenza continues to cause illness in Weld County Influenza, better known as the “flu,” continues to cause illness in Weld County. In January, the Health Department tracked 74 hospitalizations; so far in February, there are 30 cases. Statewide, there are over 3,000 hospitalizations to-date for this flu season.
