Squirltail Bottlebrush is a short lived, native, perennial bunchgrass. It can grow up to two feet tall. It is well adapted to all types of soils. It is palatable in the spring and early summer before the seed heads form. The plant requires a minimum of eight inches of precipitation annually to thrive.
